Welcome to Country Ways Oak Furniture Makers, a family-owned furniture maker and retailer based in the Sussex countryside. For nearly 40 years, we have specialized in handmade oak furniture, crafting bespoke and made-to-order pieces in our own East Sussex workshop using time-honoured British woodworking techniques.
From handmade oak dining tables and chairs to dressers, cabinets and bedroom furniture, each piece is individually crafted to order using sustainably sourced premium oak. Choose from character oak, high character oak or pippy oak, each hand-finished with food-safe wax oil in your preferred colour.
As recognized oak table specialists, we have been commissioned to create exceptional pieces for prestigious clients including the Middle Temple in London, St Bartholomew's Medical School Library, and the Kensington Hotel. We regularly work with interior designers, architects, luxury hotels and businesses seeking high-end freestanding furniture for their projects.
Our workshop and showroom are located at Little Swailes Green Farm, a historic 16th-century Sussex farmstead set in the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Battle, East Sussex.
