Why Air-Dried Oak for Outdoor Furniture
We use air-dried oak for all our outdoor tables because it offers superior performance in exterior conditions. Air-dried oak has a higher moisture content than kiln-dried timber, making it more stable when exposed to the elements and less prone to splitting or warping in outdoor environments.
Outdoor Finishing Options
Your table can be left untreated to naturally weather to a beautiful silver-grey patina over time, or treated with a finishing oil for enhanced protection and to maintain the natural oak colour. Oil-treated tables will require additional coats as needed to preserve their appearance.

The cross leg design features substantial timber legs that cross beneath the table top, connected by a through stretcher with hand-pegged tusk tenon joints. This traditional joinery technique creates exceptional structural strength without requiring any adhesive, ensuring the table withstands years of outdoor use. Choose waney edge for a natural, organic look or straight edge for a more refined aesthetic.
