Our Extra Heavy Refectory table is the same design as our standard refectory but beefed up with thicker oak used throughout, this table features ex 150 mm thick turned legs a chunky ex 65 mm thick stretcher to the bottom, a choice of hand carved side rails with nulling or vine carvings, the table base is traditionally made with mortice and tenon joints which are pegged through for extra strength. The table top is ex 65 mm thick oak which is planked with breadboard ends featuring peg details to the table ends. We offer a choice of 3 grades of oak, character, high character with large knots cracks and undulations along with English pippy oak (cats paw) Your table will be hand-finished using a hard wearing food safe wax oil in the colour of your choice.
